My name is Mike and I 've been carving Since September of 2004.

Wildlife is my favorite subject to carve, but I also carve birds, wildfowl, raptors, caricatures, as well as some walking sticks. I am not usually afraid to try a new style of carving, or new subject matter.

This Whitetail Buck was carved for a buck pool first prize this past deer season of 2006.

    I make my living and support my family by being a Paramedic on an advanced life support ambulance. This can make for a very interesting life. For some reason people don’t get sick or injured on a 8 AM to 5 PM schedule. Which means some long hours some days, and some long hours on other days ( we will just say some long work days). We are scheduled for 72 hours a week and all this in just three days. The company I work for averages over 3700 -911- calls a year just in our county, plus 2000 inter facility transfer’s to other hospitals, or facility’s. There are about 18 full time employees here as well as about 12 part time employees.

I am 55 years old chronologically 12 by brain age, think the muscle structure is closer to 65 though. I have been married to my beautiful, present wife Sherry since November 21, 1970. To help you out that is 36 years this year, we were both 18 when we were married. We have 3 lovely daughters two of which are married. We have two grandchildren 1 boy and 1 girl. We have a pet dog Kelly ..... black Lab 3 years old.

Well I really hated to do it but here you go. If your monitor is damaged its not my fault. It was probably defective from the start.

This is me in my cozy little work space in the basement. Not sure why Sherry made me go down here, I thought it was a lot handier in the kitchen.
